I am currently a Research Associate in the School of Statistics and Mathematics at the University of Sheffield. I have completed PhD in Statistical Science at Duke University with the thesis ''On Uncertainty Quantification for Systems of Computer Models''. Previously I received a BSc and a MSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Saint-Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. My biography.
In my dissertation I have developed and analyzed a fully probabilistic Bayesian framework for testing theoretical scientific models, often realized as scientific computer models, with respect to experimental data. Scientific computer models appear in fundamental science and engineering. This Bayesian statistical framework allows to provide probabilistic answers to analysis of agreement of experimental data with the theory.
Coupling computer models through linking their statistical emulators. Manuscript, Supplementary materialsPublished in SIAM/ASA JUQ.
Corresponding poster to this work.
R package LinkedGASP on prototyping solutions for a Gaussian Process emulator and linked emulator of a coupled system of simulators is available at CRAN repository.
During my studies I have produced a number of negative results with respect to current practice in statistical science. Such results are unwelcome in statistical journals, but are important to society in all senses. These studies are being documented and added in the following web-page Unpublished useful work.
